Training and Employment Guidance Letter No. 3-03, Change 2

Subject: Data Validation Submission Instructions

Purpose: To announce Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approval to collect data validation results and provide submission instructions to states concerning the Employment and Training Administration's (ETA) data validation process, for the following programs: Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Title IB, Wagner-Peyser Act/Employment Service (ES), and Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA).

GovBenefits Web Site Now Features 712 Federal and State-Administered Benefit Programs

The Govbenefits.gov Web site currently features a total of 712 federal and state-administered benefit programs for seniors, students, children, prospective homeowners, entrepreneurs, caregivers, veterans, retirees, people with disabilities, farmers, ranchers and many more.

GovBenefits.gov reached this milestone by recently adding 194 new state-administered benefit programs to the site, including Medicaid, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, Low Income Home Energy Assistance and State Children’s Health Insurance. Over the coming months, GovBenefits.gov will continue adding more state programs, such as Head Start; Home Energy Assistance (Weatherization); Special Milk; Summer Food; Women, Infants and Children; and School Breakfast and Lunch Programs. Guidelines for Federal Public Websites

The Interagency Committee on Government Information has submitted its final report to the Office of Management and Budget on "Recommended Policies and Guidelines for Federal Public Websites."

ETA Publishes Workforce Systems Results for April - June 2004; Releases Program Year 2003 WIA National Summary of Annual Performance

The "Workforce Systems Results" volume for the April 1 - June 30, 2004 period is now available for review. The document is a quarterly snapshot of program performance with narratives, tables and charts examining progress in achieving goals of helping people find jobs and connecting workers to employers.
