Employability Checkup Career Tool

The Employability Checkup Career Tool has a new look, in keeping with the redesigned Career Tools. The Checkup provides a realistic assessment for dislocated workers of the likelihood that they will be able to find employment in their previous occupation at the wage they were paid. A helpful new feature for career exploration is an addition to the Occupational Report (accessible from the Wages and Trends Report). The report now features in-context links to the Bureau of Labor Statistic’s Occupational Outlook Handbook. The Occupational Outlook Handbook is a nationally recognized source of career information, designed to provide valuable assistance to individuals making decisions about their future work lives. Revised every two years, the Handbook describes what workers do on the job, working conditions, the training and education needed, earnings, and expected job prospects in a wide range of occupations.
