Purpose. To announce the new premier conference for the Employment and Training Administration and for America's workforce investment professionals, Workforce Innovation 2002. The conference is scheduled for July 9-11, 2002 in Nashville, TN.
Background. Building on the success of the previous JETT*CON conferences, Workforce Innovation 2002 will broaden its focus to include all public and private professionals who work in the workforce investment system. Attendees will learn from industry and workforce investment experts, experience models and simulations, and preview technologies that help them to:
The conference will also offer a unique opportunity to explore the connection between workforce investment and economic development and what it means for your local economy. Registration will be available through the conference website by April 1, 2002.
Action. Please share this information with appropriate staff and colleagues, including your WIA partners, Workforce Investment Board members, and interested employers and encourage them to attend the conference.
