PY 2001 Changes in Dislocated Worker Funds

 

  1. Purpose. To transmit changes to the guidance on ETA plans and procedures to reduce dislocated worker program formula funds under the Supplemental Appropriation Act, 2001 (Public Law 107-20).

  2. References. 

    1. Training and Employment Guidance Letter (TEGL) 12-00, dated March 6, 2001, and TEGL 3-01, dated August 16, 2001.

    2. Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2001 (Public Law 107-20, July 24, 2001; 115 Stat. 155).

  3. Notification. The Secretary has determined that, in light of recent events, additional time is required to review the information necessary to carry out the rescission. As of the date of this issuance, an effective date for the rescission has not been set. Decisions on recapture and reallotment of dislocated worker funds will be made at the time of the Secretary's determination required under the rescission.

  4. Action Required. States should provide this guidance to the appropriate staff.
