100% Federal Funding of Extended Benefits (EB) Extended to March 7, 2012

In general, EB provides benefits to individuals who have exhausted regular state benefits and Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC). Though typically 50% Federally funded and 50% state funded, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 began temporary 100% Federal funding of EB. The Temporary Payroll Tax Cut Continuation Act of 2011 (P.L. 112-78) extended 100% Federal funding of EB to March 7, 2012.
